Machine Tools Industrialists and Business Association (TIAD) was established in 1992. It brings together industrialists and business people operating in order to increase the production, export, import, after-sales technical services, technology transfer, value-added production and export power of machine tools, related equipment which are among the basic production tools of the manufacturing industry. It represents its members in the best way at national and international on relevant platforms. TIAD has held the two-term presidency of the European Association for Machine Tools, Tooling and Technologies (CELIMO) since 2000 and is currently a member of the Board of Directors. TIAD contributes to the country s economy by carrying out activities for the benefit of its members and our country in all matters related to the sector. More than 80 percent of the machine tool requirements in Turkiye are supply with by TIAD members. The use of machine tools creates a direct contribution of 25 billion dollars to Türkiye s exports. In order to fulfill the sector demands of TIAD; press and publication (TT Magazine), fair (MAKTEK Exhibitions, trademark rights of which belong to TIAD), technical training (TIAD Academy), vocational qualification evaluation/certification (TIAD Vocational Test Center) and designer-industry cooperation development (Open Design Istanbul) ) continues its activities under four separate enterprises.
